I heard this story on Catholic Radio today. The quote was made by someone of a high profile who works in Washington:
“There has been a “false division” between faith-based approaches to social problems and respect for the separation of church of state. There is no contradiction between support for faith-based initiatives and upholding our constitutional principles.”
The person went on: “I’ve always been a praying person. There must be room for religious people to live out their faith in the public square.”
Any ideas as to who is quoted above? A hint: It is likely not going to be the first 2-3 people that come to mind, at least it wasn’t for me…

Hillary Clinton

Get me a bucket.

We all know she has to get religion if she is to run and have a chance. Expect to see lots of clips of her and Bill coming out of Church over the next few years. She will work the system…

Good answer, condan!

I think we’ll see more movement toward the right from her on issues such as these as we approach 2008. The Democrats have figured out some of what led to W’s election in 2004, and they will start to emulate his stance in key areas, as I believe this is pointing to. It will be interesting to see just how far they’ll go on the issues.

…and I thought it would take folks a little longer than a couple of hours to guess that! Perhaps you heard the same program today? Take care.

I heard it on either the Glen Beck or the Andrew Wilkow show. I can’t remember which one.

Still, no surprise. She’ll do anything and there are plenty of folks who are fooled by her antics.
