Faith hanging by a thread - please help

My Faith is nearly gone, though I am still a believer, I am lazy and ill disciplined, pray for my Faith to increase, please. šŸ˜¦

I will pray for you. Sometimes, we have to forge past our feelings, and just keep the faith, no matter how small we may feel it isā€“remember, Jesus said faith the size of a mustard seed? Thatā€™s as little faith we need to have, and Jesus does the rest. I will be praying for you to regain zeal for the faith. Blessings to you.

I agree with whatevergirl! No matter how small your faith is, you still have faith. šŸ™‚ If your faith was that much hanging by a thread, and you had no faith, you wouldnā€™t even care. Youā€™d just let it go, itā€™s just one last thread. But, since you have such a faith, you are hanging on to that last thread, and it will strengthen the tighter and longer you hold on. Hang in there. I see much faith in you. You just have to believe in yourself too! :hug1:
 
Praying for you during these dry times that will end with a stronger faith and love of God.

We all have these times in our lives so hang in there.

Lord, I pray that You increase the faith of deekod1967. Only You, O Lord, can increase her faith, not her, or anyone else. Fill her heart with Your presence, and wrap Your arms around her. In Jesus name we pray.
 
A theology professor I once had expressed faith this way. ā€œWhen you pray for faith, pray for a stronger faith, because if you already have faith you have the gift.ā€ So yes, you are in my prayers that your faith is strengthened. You must pray for it also. Dont worry if you feel dry, continue prayer. It is here that our greatest saints grew the most spiritually.

I find the best way for me to regain ground when Iā€™m having a dry spell is to ā€œjust do itā€, or as I say to myself ā€œNIKEā€ (since this is their corporate slogan). Donā€™t neglect your prayers even if your faith is hanging on by a thread. Donā€™t stop going to Mass every week and perhaps try to make it to daily Mass if you can.

So I say to you, donā€™t neglect your beads. Ask the Blessed Mother to intercede for you.

I will add your intentions to my prayers tonight. I have agonized as you through dry spells myself. Thank God through perseverance, those periods of dryness always end.
 
So many times I have prayed the words of Mark 9:23, ā€œI do believe, Lord: help my unbelief.ā€

Please know that you are not alone and are in my prayers.

The thread - though still fragile - has grown.

I managed a decade and the opening Psalm to the Breviary today - the first real prayer in weeks.

Your prayers really are helping my Faith, I cannot thank you and God enough.

I will try for two decades tomorrow, God bless you all.
