MARIBOJOC, Bohol—Two statues of the Blessed Virgin Mary stand—without any blemish—amid the ruins of two churches in Maribojoc and Loon towns following Tuesday’s devastating earthquake. It was enough for residents to raise their hopes that life will get better.
Amazing about the statues. It reminds me of something: at my Catholic elementary school we had a statue of Mary or Jesus in every classroom. Once when I was in first grade a car came through one of the windows in another room, and the statue remained unshaken. Thought I’d share.
