1. faith is a choice of will. That is the same as a work of faith.
2. Men ( humans ) can boast as easily of faith as they can of works.
3. Even if works aren’t “sufficient” for salvation, they are a necessary part of the path leading to it.
4. faith and works are two sides of the same coin. You want faith, you cannot help but accept both, or you can accept neither.
   I am sure most non-catholic christians don’t have a problem with works in and of themselves. I think they just wrongly understand the concept of works as it fits in to the total act of grace on God’s part, and obedience on ours.
