Hello. Creating emaisl or registers with fake emails or fake names is sinful if no money is involved?

it depends on your intent.

if it is a matter of privacy, okay.

on unknown websites, IMHO, no one should use your real information because of identity theft.

if it is an intent to get multiple offers of something, then that may be another matter.

if someone is offering a gift for your email, don’t take the gift if you don’t want the spam. you can set up an email just for these freebies and after a while delete the email if they are sending too many.

Rule of thumb. If–
The thing you want to do would not be sinful if you attached your real name to it; and if–
Using an invented name does not make you guilty of breaking the law; and if–
You are not using the invented name to defraud anyone: then–
It’s most likely not sinful to use an invented name.

Most of us on this site have done this already…

…unless @imo is your real name. 😁

Hehe. Of course not, but here is obvious so I am like anonymous, what would be different from informing “Robert Brown” which would mislead to be my real name

I always assume that usernames on forums like these are not the poster’s real name.

Sites like Facebook, Twitter, etc., however, are different; many people use their real names there.

Ultimately, I think the question to be answered is, “Why are you posting under an assumed name? Is it to mislead/defraud/cheat someone, or is it just to protect your privacy?” There is nothing wrong - and in fact, it’s prudent and good - to protect your privacy.

Signed,
