Fallacies in Islam

Begging the Question - When someone says something is true because it’s assumed true.
  • Example: Mohammed’s prophethood. He claims to be a prophet because Allah has chosen him, yet he himself gave the revelation in which Allah says Mohammed is a prophet.
Appeal to Authority - When someone claims to be an authority on a subject, and therefore, his claim is true.
  • Example: Mohammed on the prophets. He claims to know who the prophets of the Bible are based on supposed revelations, but he isn’t a true prophet (see above fallacy).
 
And how do Christians actually know that the Qur’an is false?

That’s easy, it contradicts the Bible – what could be clearer than that!!!

Muslims have long ago stopped engaging in such arguments based entirely on circular reasoning.
 
Actually thats only one of the reasons. For ones which would hold universal validity heres some other reasons.
  1. Contradictions: Such as the whole thing on levels of heaven, (its on a thread here somewhere)
2: The actions of Muhammad which clearly are contrary to the way all true prophets and saints both before and after his time acted. This strongly indicates he’s a false prophet

3: Teachings, which contradict the teachings of peace present in all other religions and likewise contradict the teachings of all previous and successive prophets and saints.
I would be most grateful if someone could find said contradicion in the first point for me. I havent got the Quran i usually use for referrences to islamic teaching since someone else has it. As i said earlier it is on another thread about the Quran and its obvious errors here. But i can;t find the thread and I frankly don’t have the time to do a comprehensive search.

For the other points they’re self explanatory to any sane person so im not concerned with elaboration at this point considering the likely counter-responses, which have been discussed before and invalidated.

Mohammed claimed Jews took their names from prophets, but that’s not true.
