Please pray for twenty-something daughter planning a move out of state - with NO job -
to move near online boyfriend (controlling/abusive) to supposedly find work and work on college classes. She is not listening to any reason. I am so beyond hope and obviously have failed as parent. I am barely coping with this. She does not see the dangers and is spiritually blinded.
 
You fear that you have failed as a parent. So many parents feel that way when their children make foolish/harmful choices. Her choices are of misguided fascination for a person whom she only thinks she knows, that desire for a loving partner which is natural, yet in her case (like so many) appears disastrous. It is her choice as an adult, not your fault though this is of little comfort when we see our child making bad decisions.
May God comfort you.

Loving Father please guide this grieving and fearful parent with the best way to show love, the best way to respond in this heartbreaking circumstance.
Humbly we ask in Your divine Son’s name, that this daughter will realize her probable mistake before further ham is done.
Bless her with the grace to value her parents love and wisdom, and the honesty and clarity to see what is true and false in her choices, and the wisdom to return home if this relationship and situation is as harmful as it seems. Please guide her to choices that lead to a blessed and happoy future.

Sounds like a really bad case of co-dependence, See if you can get her to read “Codependent No More.” I am not a doctor, simply the Grand Master of Codependence. The best cure I have found for the condition, is to stay the heck out of relationships. This is not your fault.

I will include you both in my intentions.
