Dear Techno,

Our friend Servant is actually fully correct in this respect.:
I think he means… Baptism of Desire:

From very early on, the Church recognized that there are two other types of baptism besides the baptism of water.

The baptism of desire applies both to those who, while wishing to be baptized, die before receiving the sacrament and “Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or His Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do His will as they know it through the dictates of conscience” (Constitution on the Church, Second Vatican Council).

QUOTE=PRmerger;1161
–His suffering was tragic, to be sure. But I owe nothing at all to him. He did not suffer for me, or for the entirety of humanity.–

When I read your comment, I thought of these words of Baha’u’llah.

“The Ancient Beauty hath consented to be bound with chains that mankind may be released from its bondage, and hath accepted to be made a prisoner within this most mighty Stronghold that the whole world may attain unto true liberty. He hath drained to its dregs the cup of sorrow, that all the peoples of the earth may attain unto abiding joy, and be filled with gladness. This is of the mercy of your Lord, the Compassionate, the Most Merciful. We have accepted to be abased, O believers in the Unity of God, that ye may be exalted, and have suffered manifold afflictions, that ye might prosper and flourish. He Who hath come to build anew the whole world, behold, how they that have joined partners with God have forced Him to dwell within the most desolate of cities!”

Baha’u’llah was born into a family of great wealth and prestige, and could have had a very ‘cushy’ life had He so chose. The Will of God dictated a different path, one that He willingly accepted. He gave His all for our benefit.

Here are a list of some of our key “de fide” (infallible) doctrines that you may also find interesting in this respect (also some non-de fide ones):

Dear brother Vouthon,

I think, having attempted to digest the plethora of material you have kindly provided for my study, we should maybe start from the top, find areas of commonality and any areas of difference, we can thrash out until we can either find commonality or “agree to disagree” before we move on to another concept.

In order to avoid the kind and necessary chastisement of our dear friend Eric, I have started a thread which is more focussed on the matter at hand.

Please find the thread here:

See you there brother 🙂

These word of Baha’u’llah Sum up this post perfectly

…“Purge thy sight, therefore, from all earthly limitations, that thou mayest behold them all as the bearers of one Name, the exponents of one Cause, the manifestations of one Self, and the revealers of one Truth, and that thou mayest apprehend the mystic “return” of the Words of God as unfolded by these utterances”…

…“These Lights have proceeded from but one Source, and these fruits are the fruits of one Tree. Thou canst discern neither difference nor distinction among them. All this is by the grace of God! On whom He will, He bestoweth His grace.** Please God, that we avoid the land of denial, and advance into the ocean of acceptance, so that we may perceive, with an eye purged from all conflicting elements, the worlds of unity and diversity, of variation and oneness, of limitation and detachment, and wing our flight unto the highest and innermost sanctuary of the inner meaning of the Word of God**”…

…“From these statements therefore it hath been made evident and manifest that should a Soul in the “End that knoweth no end” be made manifest, and arise to proclaim and uphold a Cause which in “the Beginning that hath no beginning” another Soul had proclaimed and upheld, it can be truly declared of Him Who is the Last and of Him Who was the First that they are one and the same, inasmuch as both are the Exponents of one and the same Cause. For this reason, hath the Point of the Bayán—may the life of all else but Him be His sacrifice!—likened the Manifestations of God unto the sun which, though it rise from the “Beginning that hath no beginning” until the “End that knoweth no end,” is none the less the same sun. Now, wert thou to say, that this sun is the former sun, thou speakest the truth; and if thou sayest that this sun is the “return” of that sun, thou also speakest the truth. Likewise, from this statement it is made evident that the term “last” is applicable to the “first,” and the term “first” applicable to the “last;” inasmuch as both the “first” and the “last” have risen to proclaim one and the same Faith”…

In my opinion we are dealing with false prophets right here on earth now.
There are many born again preachers or ministers who are considered false prophets.
Without naming names it is very possible to see where deception takes place in and around the born again movement. Too many are misled and in large numbers I might add. It concerns me that the bible is taken quite literally and in some cases the words are aligned to suit the words of the person proclaiming ultimate knowledge in the scriptures.
God is not a limited force. So many think that God is simple minded for the lack of better words. God is the ultimate in intelligence and grace. God does not operate as an angry force. God is total love and forgiveness. Please people don’t be misled by individuals of flesh and blood who cannot live up to Gods true standards by conveying a misunderstood view or ideology of the true meaning of the scriptures. It is not complicated at all.
We are all born with common sense and the instinct to survive. Step back from the stress of the day and focus on yourself and release the pressure of the most pressing issue known to many, and that is finances. Being financially “rich” is not a way to be fulfilled or happy. However, it will make your life easier and you would be able to provide for your family so that you can enjoy the time to spend with your family. On that note I will add that the lack of money breeds poverty and sin for many individuals. Having money will no doubt take you out of poverty. But it is not the be all and end all that so many visualize. Live within your income and create balance, learn the way the law works. The law created by individuals is so our life will be free from chaos or trouble on earth.
Be honest with yourself and adjust your lifestyle to reflect your income. It is nobodies business to know your finances. Your income and your choice of lifestyle is strictly yours and only yours. You have complete control over your own life. Discover happiness and a healthy heart by relaxing and realizing the we are all on the same planet together. No one can escape the earth without first going through the process of death. Every person will go through it regardless of your financial status. What you see in front of you is your world and only your world. Yes you will see people step in your way and claim to own your world but with patience and relaxation you will be able to create balance so that those who cross over that line can be handled properly. There’s no need to create an enemy, be gentle and kind and life will be so much more pleasant.
The fear instilled by many born again individuals is not a fear based on fact. The rapture as they describe is not how it will happen. God is not that simple or that cruel. God will not in an instant withdraw the spirit or life from people from their vehicle while it is moving at 60 miles per hour on a freeway to call you back to heaven! It will not happen that way. God loves the planet and all the life that inhabits the planet we live on. God does not want to cause chaos or a continuous mounting list of bad events as a result of the rapture. No it is silly to think so. What I believe as a fellow human being that loves God is that each person will experience the rapture alone and as a separate individual. The rapture is called death. It is at that time that each person will experience the second coming of Jesus. To think otherwise is just plain silly and ridiculous.

This is my opinion.

The first posting and this second post is only regarding my opinion about false prophets. It is not a comeback line that I have written here. I’m only circling around a false prophet.

In addition to the first posting above, I have expanded a bit more. Thank you.

Don’t let any person tell you anything different. God gave each person a free will to live their own life how they choose. God is alive and active in everything we see and do. Yes there are people who make bad choices or decisions but it doesn’t take long to understand that a mistake was made. Our free will allows us to make the
corrections and set out to improve ourselves and our existence on earth. Never be afraid to learn. God is alive in every person. We are human and we are with faults. Accept fault and learn from it and change, grow and learn to do something well. Heaven and hell is right her on earth. We can create either place for ourselves depending on the choice we make with our own life. Life is not complicated, we as humans and those that are in power make mistakes that affect groups of people at the same time. Overcome the difficulty and go the other way. It is not right to claim that people who are not born again are sinners. Leave that way of thinking and worry about your own existence. You are not here to judge and condemn others. No man regardless of their place in our community or our country have a right to judge an individual. Let the courts decide what the fate of an individual is who breaks the law. Let that person learn for themselves what is right and
wrong. It is not our job to tell that person they are wrong. The judge in the court will decide what fate is in store for that individual. Live by the law, but be prepared to speak when that law is with fault. Don’t take pleasure in witnessing another person in difficulty or in trouble. That event was caused by the fault of another individual or that fault within our-self due to the lack of knowledge regarding that circumstance of events. The lack of knowledge creates many events that would have been different if the right knowledge was in effect. We were given life to enjoy and love. Not to hurt and suffer. It is only our weakness and lack of knowledge that causes difficulty or pain.
God is not at fault for any pain or suffering a person goes through. That is strictly human caused circumstances.
God will never force anyone to chose how they want to live. Live to enjoy your life. Breath, stretch, grow and love to learn. God will always be there. God only wants you to love and experience the beautiful and amazing planet we call earth.
Without God there would be no life. We wouldn’t exist as we know and see.

Peace,

Very good commentary and perspective, friend. It is much appreciated to have such a moderate and rational tone.

Peace to you, too! 😉
