anyone interested in having family activities, i think its really great to start things nicely within the family
that helps a lot

I’m not sure exactly if this is what you mean but…

Right now it is just DH & I, but we are looking for ways to be closer to our family (extended) before we look to become three. We’ve had success with his family as we all get together at his parent’s house Sunday evenings for dinner. Not everyone makes it every time, but hey we all keep in touch. The problem is with my family. Calls are sporadic and visits are (seemingly) few and far between as my bro & SIL are in the military, my dad lives an hour away, and my mom, well, she’s my mom. Any ideas on how to keep in touch/bond when the rest of them seem “too busy”?

hey guess what there are many things that families can do together
leisure activities, games etc

Our family has started going to the bowling alley a few times a month. My 5 year old bowls better than I do. My 2 year old has a little trouble getting the ball to the end of the lane but it always gets there eventually. Its a good time with kids! 👍

We always use the lanes with the bumper rails.

Ice skating!

Watching it, doing it, writing about it, coaching it, driving to it, driving home from it, going out to dinner after it, going out to breakfast before it, talking about it…our family loves the sport!

IMO, ice skating is one of the best family sports around.

YAY! Evan Lysacek won the World Championship in Pairs last night. (He’s from our neck of the woods, and is the guest skater at our spring ice show in a few weeks.
