We just bought a Sienna two months ago and I wish I would have done it years ago. I love this vehicle!!! (and I am not a car-lover…usually could care less what I am driving)
We drive a 98 Ford Windstar that suits our needs very well. But, if we could afford a new minivan, I would go with either the Toyota Sienna or the Honda Odyssey. They are both highly rated by Consumer Reports, and the Toyota Sienna has a model that seats 8.
I do agree with jmm08 that Ford Econolines are great- my parents own one and it served us very well for long distance travel- lots of sitting and leg room. It can hold way more than a minivan- We would even keep a full size cooler behind the driver’s seat with plenty of room left for someone to sit in the seat behind it. I would only recommend it if you plan on needing alot of storage space or taking lots of trips. It does get terrible gas milage, and definately not as nice to drive as a minivan.
