On Saturday morning my daughter received the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time at our parish children’s penance service. My wife and I also received the sacrament as they had priests available for the parents. This was the first time my entire family received any sacrament together! 
And for my wife, it was a very long time since she had been to confession (over 15 years 
). I had encouraged her to go in the past but she would not go. With our daughter going it was important for her to see both of us receive the sacrament as well. It seem to give my wife the extra courage she needed and it was a very joyous occasion!
