Family's anti-Catholic remarks via facebook

Facebook is a particularly human evil…no need to blame a supernatural source.

Throwing rocks at others…pure humanity at its worst.

Would you say Old Scratch & Company get credit for having accomplished any work with the human race, or is it all on us?
 
From the pure evil I see, he’s got to play a part. But the first step in correcting a fault is to OWN IT!
 
Well, we need not put all the blame on the devil, although it is a devilish thing to do. The kind of Fundamentalist who would do this kind of thing is convinced that everyone except them are doomed to hell, that the ends justify the means–getting people “saved”, and that going behind a parent’s back to proselytize their child, if it gets that child “saved,” is perfectly fine. If her parents object it will only confirm for their Fundamentalist family member that the parents are truly lost because their Catholic faith has blinded them to the truth. The Fundamentalist won’t feel regret–not if they are so mired in their mindset that they can’t see outside it. I know about this kind of thing because I witnessed such behavior first hand from many people who truly believed they were doing the right thing. It takes a major change of world view–a conversion they will not seek, in order for them to acknowledge they did anything wrong. This is why prayer is so needed. It’s a spiritual blindness on their part that cannot be cured merely by expressing disapproval for their tactics, although if they truly have a heart tender for God, it may prick their conscience–at least it is hoped it would.

To say that something is “the work of the devil” is only another way of saying it is practically a near occasion of sin (or else a torment to the innocent) by its very nature. That is all that is important; it doesn’t matter if the devil literally had his hot hand in the dough. It is enough that the fingerprints burned into it look remarkably like his.

A basal cause, yes, but we humans have to take the blame for our own actions/decisions that are not in line with God’s will. If that were not the case we could not be held accountable before God for our sins, could we? 🙂

Personally I would block these people. It sounds like drama, I know, but you don’t need this toxicity. They don’t respect you. So, say buh bye.
