Why do you need the church’s teachings to interpret something that is already interpreted?
Interpreted by who?
Shouldn’t it be the other way around. Shouldn’t you use the Bible as the guide to base the church’s teachings? It is God’s Word.
The Church came first, without the Church there would be no Bible. It was the Church and its Traditions that proved what would go into the Bible.

Hence our issue with your Bible missing 7 Old Testament books. By what authority where they dropped when God’s Church guided by the Holy Spirit determined what should be in the Bible.

The least you can do is disprove me with the Bible. I have invited you to a private discussion. Scripture for Scripture. God’s Word not man.
I did. I asked you to tell me how many angels were at the tomb. Look it up, compare the gospel accounts. That is my proof that the bible is not “perfect” or the “inerrant word of God”.

WOW…

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

If you worship, you follow His Word. Jesus is always the living Word of God.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

You see how I just used scripture and it backed me 100%.
Except “Word of God” as a euphamism for the bible is based on that verse, not that verse on the euphamism. The Bible is not Christ, the bible is about Christ, but it is not synonymous.

I find it odd that people who think the Real Presence is nonsense can believe their bible is the literal Christ.

I didn’t realize that God guiding individuals to select which books are in the Bible makes them the church. Before there was the “church” where were the OT books. How did people read and gather them together?

God used Balaam and he was obviously not a follower of God.

Well there you have. You should contact some of your catholic brothers/sisters. They seem to agree with me on the subject. Once again…

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

I’ve never met a Catholic who believed Christ and the Bible were synonymous.

There’s your answer why your threads are destroyed, unfortunately its all on you.

You seem to like to give partial answers.

You failed to answer who has interpreted the Bible.

Now you are misrepresenting what Catholics believe.

We believe that Christ is present when the Scriptures are read, but that does not mean that we believe that Christ is the Scriptures.

You give up that easily?
I didn’t realize that God guiding individuals to select which books are in the Bible makes them the church.
When those individuals are bishops of the Church meeting in a Council called by the Church, yes that makes them the Church.
Before there was the “church” where were the OT books. How did people read and gather them together?
Wrong, there was no Old Testament, there was the Torah and the different sects of Judaism disagreed as to what books made up the Torah.

There was no Bible before the Church.
God used Balaam and he was obviously not a follower of God.
Red Herring, this has nothing to do with the discussion.

I see, you can’t handle one thread so you start another, then you can’t handle that one and start another. I am starting to see a pattern.

You are not here to discuss anything, a lot like another user here who insists on the use of Scripture only and will only accept his interpretation of the Scriptures.

Your threads are a like too, they start with some Scripture and then demand we tell you what it is saying.

If you can’t find scripture to back your claim, then chances are, your claim is wrong.
I don’t think scripture backs this claim up.

There are many claims one can make that could be either right or wrong but are independent from the scriptures.

Why do you consistently try to destroy my threads?
Because you hit and run with ignorance and hate. You skew the meaning of scripture and everytime someone who has a good understanding and knowledge of scripture confronts your ignorance of scripture you start another thread.

I’ve never met a Catholic who believed Christ and the Bible were synonymous.
I do not worship a book, I worship God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

Question for you “truthmaker”, what does the “word” of God consist of?
