We’ve had famous movie lines…now we can have the catchphrases and memorable lines from the small screen. Like…

Catchphrases:

“Stifle!”

“Choppers…”

“Aaaayyyyy…”

“Nanu nanu!”

“D’oh!” (now in the dictionary)

“Right, Pa?”

“Squad 51, start an IV with D5W…”

“One of these days, Alice…One of these days…”

“Good night, John-Boy.”

“And hey…let’s be careful out there…”

Memorable lines:

“I will not carry a gun… I’ll carry your books, I’ll carry a torch, I’ll carry a tune, I’ll carry on, carry over, carry forward, Cary Grant, cash and carry, carry me back to Old Virginia, I’ll even hari-kari if you show me how, but I will not carry a gun!”

Uh…I must be tired because I can’t think of anymore, and I’m rather fandom obsessed…lol

the two dumbest are from Mayberry,typical hollyweird lampooning of southern Christians show…in one episode the new mayor asks Andy why doesnt he carry a gun…what if you needed one in an emergency? Andy replies,“If I needed one I will go get one” and the other was the one where a hollyweird director was supposidly coming to Mayberry to film it as it looked so charming etc.the entire town goes ballistic and changes into clean clothes etc…he gives a speech after being handed a bunch of homemade pies,unwrapped in his hands.then he makes the most outrageous insulting speech I have ever heard…the townspeople are all in front of him in their sunday go to meeting outfits…and this classy showman says to them…'and look at what you have done to yourselves…get out of those trick or treat outfits!" imagine ,this tolerant one insults the entire town by describing their sunday outfits as holloween costumes…wheres Barneys bullet…

Okay, Bluerose, much love for the Golden Girl’s refrence! I grew up watching that show, and twenty years later I still watch it. Sophia and Dorothy were two very awesome fictional Catholics. 🙂
