Fasting During Triduum?

Am I supposed to fast during these three days of the Triduum? The leader of our Bible study told me that it is something some people do to metaphorically recreate in a sense to a much lesser degree the suffering of Christ.

There is no such requirement, but you are absolutely encouraged to do so and in general increase penance.
 
Pleaee ask a Priest at your Parish the requirements for fasting and penance.
Fasting might mean a couple of small meals, etc. Abstinence might mean no meat, no vegetarian substitute, no sweets, etc.

These requirements are age, health and state of pregnancy dependent.

Let me make a disclaimer: this is for my diocese. While I am not aware of any requirements in Canon Law, you’ll want to check for your specific diocese.

Good Friday is a day of fasting and abstinence. This means no meat, and 3 meals. You are encouraged to continue the fast and abstinence through Holy Saturday, if possible, but not required.

Oh, yes, there is this requirement for Good Friday. I was just thinking about the triduum in general.👍
