I know fasting is one full meal, with two smaller meals not adding up to the size of the full meal. I usually only eat two meals a day, so how would the rules be with that? If I eat two meals, one will count as my full meal, and the other can’t add up to the size of the full meal because one of the meals has to be bigger than the other. Should I just make one intentionally smaller?

My understanding is that when fasting you eliminate eating between meals and reduce the amount of food you are accustomed to eating at meals to the levels you outlined, unless the amount you currently eat on a daily basis is already at the minimum for health.

In other words, health first, reduction in the amount consumed or the frequency of consumption, second. If possible within the boundaries of health, you should notice you’re fasting. Let each do what he or she can.

Fasting by definition means eating less than you normally would. Simply eat LESS. That can’t be too hard on only two days in the year.

I also use fasting often as my friday penance outside of lent as well

Even once a week is not hard to eat less food than you normally would eat.
Personally on Fridays outside Lent I choose abstinance (not eating meat) rather than fasting.
