You know, I never really thought of it as I eat a lot of carbs, but I see what you mean. I know fruit counts as a carb for diabetics and I tend to eat fruit a lot. I try to eat proteins though the day like peanut butter and hummus. Even my spaghetti sauce (which is home-made) is mostly tomato and that’s a fruit too. I really don’t eat a lot of meat. I am not vegetarian or anything, just not a big meat fan. I should have noted, that’s one cup of cooked pasta. That’s about the size of a baseball (it’s not a plateful of pasta).Wow, you eat a lot of carbs, and you’re so lucky to be able to consume milk! I can’t because of digestive disorders.
Maybe in your case a few more vegetables may take the place of the fruit, but beyond that I think that, as long as you’re healthy there’s no reason to change.
Some people do well with less food and you sound like one of them, I’ve also heard that six small meals are much better for us than the three larger ones we were trained to eat.
I’ll keep my banana (get foot cramps from all the walking I do if I don’t eat them). But I can replace that apple for sure. The hard part is veggies in season this time of year.
