Please don’t take this wrong but …

This discussion has made me smile more than I have in a long long time. It even generated a audible laugh.

Now I feel guilty!

I’m laughing at myself too! It’s like, I should know this…it’s not that hard Nicole! 🙂

Anyway, I just want to verify, we are allowed to go back to our normal 3 meals (even in-between snacks) tomorrow, right? But we’ll do this fasting again during Easter, right? No meat on Fridays!

LOL!!! I’m the kind of person when it comes to learning something new that I have to know exactly what to do. Like I must do it right!!!
😛 Someday, it will be a no-brainer to me and I will laugh remembering how hard it seemed! 😛
I’d dip that bag of Chex mix in bronze as a permanent memorial!

Well I certainly admire your pluck 😃

Yes back to normal tomorrow. No meat on Fridays. Next fast day is Good Friday, not Easter.

However, it is recommended that you observe voluntary fasts during Lent, but it is not required. Maybe you could pick a Friday or two for practice 😃

Option to fasting (not abstinence) …

I’m in a position, by age and health, to avoid fasting as stated in the canon. Others may be in the same position. So instead of giving something up or reducing one’s daily “fuel”, one can add something to their day to make up for the inability to fast. Praying the Rosary an extra time or two could be a good option.
