That’s always a factor that needs to be considered of course. Certainly you shouldn’t fast from food if it could potentially lead to a relapse.I don’t fast, because I fasted once for God and it turned into an almost fatal eating disorder. Instead of fasting, I am going to help out the hungry in the world this year.
Little to no risk of that with me, I enjoy my food far too much. But I’m going to try to fast from other things that I find more difficult, at least outside of Lenten Fridays etc.
I have problems moderating my TV watching and internet use, so they may be two good places to start.
