Fate of a soul

It is a misunderstanding that the life history of every soul is written by God or destiny. God is certainly the creator of this whole world like the builder of the stage and the supplier of dress for a drama. He is responsible up to this level only. The story, dialogues and actions are written by the created self only. The self is pure awareness and is called as causal body, but is composed of several types of vibrations which are the feelings or thoughts or qualities.

The various types result due to various mixing proportions of Sattvam, Rajas and Tamas. Some of these thoughts have become very strong since from several millions of births. Such solidified thoughts are like hard diamonds. The bundle of such diamonds is called as the subtle body. The soul writes its own story of drama based on the directions of these diamonds (Samskaras or Vasanas). Thus, in that way, these diamonds can be treated as destiny. But this destiny has nothing to do with God. The soul itself created its own destiny.

Therefore, the theme of the drama will be uniform in any number of births of that soul. How to change these diamonds? You can change the destiny. The only way is to cut these diamonds by divine diamonds which come out from the preaching of divine knowledge by God through human form called as Satguru. Gita says clearly that God has not created anything and only the nature of the soul, which is bundle of these diamonds, is deciding the theme of the life of any soul here (Svabhavastu Pravartate). When God enters this world in human form, then only God writes His own program which is the story of His divine play.

Gita says that if you recognize such human incarnation and His divine mission, you will be liberated through your participation (Janama Karmacha Me Divyam…).

DattaSwami,

As with most of your posts, this one is profound but in some places mistaken. You are absolutely right that the history of a soul is not written by destiny; that it is written by God is true in one sense but not true in another sense. God is to us as the author of a book is to the characters in the book. The characters make their decisions and play their parts, but it is the author who is writing all of it down.

The Catholic Church teaches also that a soul, once the person dies, goes either to Heaven or to Hell–to be completely united with God or to be completely separated from God. It is not born again and again into new bodies in this world.

The Lord is universal but the human beings in the universe differ in their attitudes. The same single Lord adopts a different procedure in a different region and such different procedure appears as a different religion. A few criticize the Lord of other religion. You are criticizing your own Lord of your own religion. The external behavior of the Lord differs due to different internal and external behaviors of the human beings in this universe.

The external form, dress, language, food habits and culture of human beings differ from one region to the other. Accordingly the external form, dress, food habits, language and culture of the Lord also differ to suit that particular region. The internal Lord and the internal essence of the same Lord is one and the same in His different human incarnations which have come in different regions or religions.

Trelow;

You are the cream of Christianity and Hinduism. In course of time the devotees of other religions will also join you and make this group a complete representative of Universal Spirituality. I wish that all of you retain the identification of your individual religions. Let this group be a chain of gems of different colours. Let not the other gems be coloured by white paint so that the whole chain can become a garland of only white gems. Let the pearls remain in the garland, which are white in colour. Let them not insist that the other gems also be coloured by white paint.

A chain with different coloured gems looks more beautiful than a chain of mere pearls. The thread running through all these gems is Universal Spirituality. Religion is a gem with a particular colour. Spirituality is the thread that is holding all the different gems in the garland.

Christians are the followers of Christ. Buddhists are followers of Buddha. Janis are followers of Mahaveer Jain. Hindus are the followers of various forms of God. Muslims were the followers of all the prophets up to Mohammad. Thus, the word ‘Muslims’ is general just like the word Hindus. You cannot say that only the followers of Krishna are Hindus. Followers of Shiva are also Hindus. Later on the word Muslims was used specifically for the followers of Mohammad. Before the arrival of Christ and Mohammad all the non-Hindus were called as Muslims.

In Sanskrit the word Muslims is represented by the word ‘Mlechcha’ which means all non-Hindus. Thus, in ancient times there were only two religions. One was Hinduism in India and the other was Mlechcha or Muslim out of India. Sage Vyasa wrote a scripture called ‘Bhavishyat Purana’ which mentions about the arrival of Christ to India after His crucifixion and His conversation with King Salivahana. Therefore, this point has the validity from scripture. The historical proof exists for the burial tomb of the Christ in Kashmir (India) even today. We cannot help if some conservative people like the well-frogs, deny this [a frog in a well thinks that his own well alone is the mighty ocean].
The word Brahman means the greatest.

Any item, which is the greatest in a category, can be called as Brahman. An officer in a department is Brahman. The president of the country is Brahman. The officer is the greatest among the staff of the department. The president is greatest among all the citizens of the country. The word greatest or Brahman is common to both the officer and president. This does not mean that the officer and president are equal. You have to take the sense of the same word according to the context. Similarly the soul is greatest among all the items of creation. The soul can be called as Brahman. But God is greater than the soul. Therefore, God is the greatest among all the items whereas the soul is the greatest among the items of creation. Both God and soul can be called as Brahman. This does not mean that God is the soul. Similarly, a non-Hindu is called as a Muslim. The follower of Mohammad can be also called as Muslim. This does not mean that all the non-Hindus are followers of Mohammad.

When the body of Jesus was pierced by a spear, blood came out. This means that life was retained by the body of Jesus even after the crucifixion. This shows the yogic power of Lord Jesus. Jesus was in the Himalayas from 16th to 30th year of age. He did severe penance and was in the association of great sages in the caves of Himalayas. He attained all the yogic powers. He used the yogic power and retained His life. This is only the praise of Jesus and should not be misunderstood as a false crucifixion.

The word Brahman refers to Parabrahman or God pervading all the pure awareness. A very little part of the pure awareness in which God has not entered is like the mud used to prepare the pot. The rest of pure awareness pervaded by God is like the pot-maker. The pot is this universe. The Veda says that the pure awareness used for the creation is just like a ray of the sun (Padosya Visvaa Bhutaani). Sage Vidyaranya in his famous philosophical book called ‘Vedanta Panchadasi’ also mentions this same point. The part of the mind or the nervous energy, which is used for the conversion into a dream, is very very little. This spectator-part of the mental energy is huge compared to the mental energy that is converted into the dream. Due to the vast quantative difference between the spectator energy and the modified energy, the modification is almost nil compared to spectator.

You seem to think that the difference between all major religions are only superficial. However nothing can be further from the truth. Is one resurrected(Christianity) or re-incarnated(Hinduism)?

Can I be in heaven (Christianity) or will I live forever on this earth (Jehovah Witnesses)?

Is God a triune family or a sole person/being (Unitarian)?

Is Jesus God(Christianity) or an angel(JW) or a prophet(Islam)?

By lavelling all beliefs as true revelation from God, you make all revelation insignificant as anything and everything one wishes to believe is correct.

Dear alex; i think from the poeple who i have encountered here so far in this forum, you sees to have interest in knowing the truth;

A comprehensive analysis of all the religions to show their unity
Code:
The spiritual knowledge should come directly from the Lord. If He sends His messenger, the messenger is not capable of delivering all the points as told by the Lord and is also incapable of explaining in excellent manner as explained by the Lord. Therefore, the knowledge delivered by the messenger is not as excellent as delivered by the Lord directly. This is the main reason for the Lord to enter the human body to preach the divine knowledge. But if the Lord in human body declares that He is the Lord directly speaking, people become jealous because they think the human incarnation as human being only, since they always see the external body only. They misunderstand that the human being is claiming himself as God.
They cannot tolerate this due to their inherent jealousy and egoism towards the co-human beings. To solve this problem of majority of the people, the human incarnation has to say that He is only the messenger of God. Prophet Mohammad was really the human incarnation. But he never claimed himself as God due to this problem of majority. He said that He was only the messenger of God and that Q’ran was massage of God. Therefore, this Holy Scripture belongs to the angle of majority. The devotees who can realise the human incarnation are always very few only. To this minority the prophet can personally say that he is God or at least he is son of God. The message to minority need not be recorded, which can be orally delivered in person. Thus, Q’ran is a scripture for the majority. On the other hand Gita was the scripture of extreme minority, since Gita was told to Arjuna only.

In Gita, Krishna told that He is the Lord. Here you must realize that the Lord is speaking through the human body of Krishna. In between the Q’ran and Gita lies Bible. Jesus told that He is the messenger of the God, which is the message for the majority. He also told that He is God, which is the message for extreme minority. In between lies the minority for which He said that He is Son of God. Thus, Bible is the message covering all the three phases of public, which are majority, minority and extreme minority. As we pass from one end to the other end in the above order, the egoism and jealousy reduce from 100 to 50 to 0.

Reply to Alex continuied from below

For majority dualism (Dvaita), for minority (Visista Advaita) and for extreme minority monism (Advaita) are preached by the human incarnation. Thus, in Christianity and Hinduism you can find all the three concepts. But in Islam you can find only Dvaita. You should not mistake that Islam is incomplete due to absence of the other two concepts. The merit in Islam is that no human being can claim himself as God and thus there is no danger of false human incarnation. But in Hinduism and Christianity there is always danger of fraud human incarnations. Again you should not criticize Hinduism and Christianity due to this danger. Assuming the possibility of danger of accident, will you avoid journey by bus or train or aeroplane? Thus, the positive and negative angles must be understood according to the context. However, in Christianity also, the danger is avoided because the Christians do not accept any other human incarnation as God except Jesus. Hinduism accepts every human incarnation as God. Thus, you can pass from Islam to Christianity to Hinduism.

There is no danger in Islam and Christianity. In Islam no human incarnation is accepted. This is extremity to avoid the danger. In Christianity Jesus was accepted as human incarnation but no other human incarnation was accepted to avoid the danger of exploitation of fraud human incarnations. Thus, in Islam the concept was not admitted. In Christianity the concept was admitted but was limited to Jesus only to avoid the danger. In Christianity the statement “Jesus will come again” completes the concept because it indicates that the human incarnation is again possible. Thus, the concept is completed in Bible. But by believing that Jesus comes only at the end of this creation, all the other human incarnations till the end are rejected.

Thus, the concept is completed in theory but not completed in practical. In Hinduism the concept is completed in theory as well as in practical. Gita says that Krishna will come again and again whenever it is necessary (Yadayadahi…). This means that the human incarnation will come again and again in several places and in several religions in even one human generation, because there is necessity for such facility. Thus, in Hinduism the concept is completed in theory and practical, but the danger is always full. Thus, Hinduism recognises several human incarnations of Lord Datta (Krishna) as in the case of Sri Pada Vallabha, Sri Narasimha Saraswati, Sri Akkalkota Maharaj, Sri Sai Baba, etc. Hinduism recognises Buddha also as the human incarnation. Broad minded Hinduism recognises even Jesus, Mohammad, Mahaveer etc., also as human incarnations born in different religions. The universal spirituality is such broad minded Hinduism which is the broad minded Christianity, the broad minded Islam, the broad minded Buddhism and broad minded science. The Universal Spirituality contradicts and is prepared to argue with all religions limited with conservatism, provided these religions are prepared to accept the truth with open mind. The science with conservatism is atheism. When you realize all the three religions, namely Hinduism, Christianity and Islam, you will achieve the total concept, which is the universal spirituality. All the religions are different angles of the same central concept. You must observe the centre through all the angles from all the sides. Then only you can realise the total comprehensive central concept. Now you must see through the angles of Buddhism and science also.

Buddhism speaks about the God present in the human incarnation by keeping silent about God. Silence means that God is beyond words and imagination. It does not indicate the absence of God. Buddhism is misunderstood as atheism. The time wheel (Kala Chakra) and the revolving bright wheel (Sudarsana Chakra) indicate that the time is constantly moving and that you will meet the death certainly one day or other. It indicates that you should hurry in detaching yourself from the world and that you should attach to the Lord as early possible.

Dattaswami,

“In times past, God spoke in partial and various ways to our ancestors through the prophets; in these last days, he spoke to us through a son, whom he made heir of all things and through whom he created the universe.” Certainly different human beings differ in their attitudes, but God has spoken definitively through His Son Jesus Christ. God allows for our differing attitudes in the varying adaptations the Catholic Church has made to the different cultures of the world–the external form dress, language, and food habits you speak of, but the core truths of Christianity are still true for everybody in the world.

Christianity is unique among all the world’s religions in that in Jesus, God Himself came to earth and walked among us. Many religions preach that their god has done this, but Christianity teaches that it happened at a particular time–from about one AD to about 30 AD, give or take a few years in each case–and in a particular place–born in Bethlehem, raised in Nazareth, taught in Galilee and the surrounding areas, died and rose from the dead in Jerusalem. I have myself placed my hand in the hole in the rock in which Jesus’ cross was stood up. No other religion has these concrete claims about its God.

It seems that you are representing the beliefs of christians, but mixing them with your own. This is dishonesty.

In addition, I can think of a few posters here who would be quite upset with you for calling Mohammed God. And these are Muslim posters. To tell people that they do not know what they actually believe is the height of arrogance.

Please learn before teaching.

The spiritual knowledge should come directly from the Lord. If He sends His messenger, the messenger is not capable of delivering all the points as told by the Lord
This is assuming God does not grant the necessary grace to the messenger to do so. Being that God would want his message to be preserved I would imagine that he would infer the necessary grace. You present a God that is disinterested in his work.
Therefore, the knowledge delivered by the messenger is not as excellent as delivered by the Lord directly. This is the main reason for the Lord to enter the human body to preach the divine knowledge.
There is no necessity for God to communicate in human form; we cannot put that limit on God. In the Bible we see God has communicated in other forms and by other means.
To solve this problem of majority of the people, the human incarnation has to say that He is only the messenger of God. Prophet Mohammad was really the human incarnation. But he never claimed himself as God due to this problem of majority. He said that He was only the messenger of God and that Q’ran was massage of God. Thus, Q’ran is a scripture for the majority. On the other hand Gita was the scripture of extreme minority, since Gita was told to Arjuna only.
Here you are basically saying that in all mayor religions (except Hinduism) the majority would not tolerate pure revelation, therefore God decided to deliver imperfect and contradictory Scripture to different people. You also seem to insinuate God constantly needing to be incarnate to deliver an erroneous message to the masses while a select few get true revelation…even to consider what you are stating… you need to prove that to a certain few in all major religions the same message was delivered. (Good luck trying to prove that at the time of Muhammad some one believed him to be God)

Basically you are presenting us with a deceitful God. As a result no matter what message is presented to us we must doubt it as the massage could or could not be the perfect revelation even if there is consistency in the message. Even your own message by your own premises can be questioned. You state that the message you preach has become popular around the world, including Argentine if that is the case the message you are delivering is for the majority and not the minority and therefore the message is not the perfect revelation.
Krishna told that He is the Lord.

In Hinduism the concept is completed in theory as well as in practical. Gita says that Krishna will come again and again whenever it is necessary (Yadayadahi…).
I believe this statement proves you are by no means a Christian and therefore lied in your profile. However being that you believe in a deceitful God well how can I expect you not to be deceitful yourself?

Corvidae,

Ummm … are you responding to me? I don’t recall calling Mohammed God; in fact, I am very strongly aware that he is not God; I am equally aware that Muslims do not consider him to be God.
