*O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, who brought forth the Son of God still remaining a Virgin, assist us in this necessity. O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother.

O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, we humbly ask you from the depths of our heart to help us in this necessity. There are none who can withstand your power. O show us that you are our Mother.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Sweet Mother, we place this cause in your hands. Amen*.

Thank you all so much for your prayers. My father begins a low dose chemotherapy today. His diagnosis is Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He is too old and otherwise too ill to have aggressive treatment. If he tolerates the low dose of chemo it could buy him some extra time; six months to a year. If not, the doctors say three to six months. I’m still in some kind of a shock phase I guess. This just seems so out of left field, but I suppose that’s the way aggressive cancer works. He just always took such good care of himself before he was stricken with the disabiling CIPD, and now this, AML. My prayer is that he will tolerate the low dose of chemo and we are still praying for, though not expecting, a complete healing.

I’m praying that your father will do well during treatment. I’m praying for you all.

:grouphug:

Most loving Heart of Jesus,
bring me health in body and spirit
that I may serve You with all my strength.
Touch gently this life which you have created,
now and forever. Amen.

Merciful God, we remember before you all who are sick this day.
Give them courage during times of illness,
Help them to face and overcome their fears.
Be with them if they feel alone or rejected.
Comfort them when they are discouraged.
And touch them with your healing Spirit
that they may find and possess eternal life,
now and forever. Amen.
