Father has Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Last month my father, who is 73, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. The risk for infection is great while undergoing Chemotherapy. For the first time since he started treatment he has a fever, which is concerning, and we could use some more prayers for him. We are praying that he does not develop an infection. He is also having pain and difficulty swallowing, which we are told is common. Please join us in praying for him. His name is Bob. Thank you and God Bless you.
 
Praying for Bob for strength to make it through Chemotherapy and that he does not develop an infection. Sorry to hear about your father and I pray for your entire family during this time.

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Bob). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Bob’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for Bob, who is suffering from cancer. If it is God’s will, may the gift of healing be granted to him. Comfort him during times of unbearable pain, and ask our Lord to grant him peace and patience in suffering. May God give him the fullness of life here on earth. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

We call upon you and ask your help for our loved ones

who are suffering from cancer.

We entrust them to your loving care.

They are your children and they are in pain.

Give them the ability to know in their hearts

that you are with them in this difficult time.

Give insight to researchers that they may discover cures.

Thank you all so much for your prayers. Thankfully, the fever broke, but he is in period of greater risk of infection and he had a fall this morning and scraped his arm. Any little cut can be dangerous for him so we are praying that it will not become infected. I will be praying a rosary shortly and will include your intentions. God Bless you kind people.
