Well my father has been in home hospice for about 3 weeks now. He has a rare bladder cancer that is really starting to take his life. It is very painful to watch a beloved one begin the dying process. My mom is especially taking this hard as they have been married almost 62 years!!! I have never been through something like this and my emotions are all over the place. I do know that God is with us and I lean on him a lot. This whole experience has made me realize the small things in life that mean the most some times…I am trying to live for the moment as I don’t know what next one will bring. I am trying to be as strong as possible for my mother and father. My sister is also there for support as we are a very close family. I have a twin who died shortly after birth, waiting for him in heaven and he knows that when he gets there, she will be there for him! It is so hard letting go and letting God but I am hoping my faith will pull me through this journey…and some day we all be be born again to new life.

May God strengthen and encourage you and you and your family as you walk this path. Through Christ Our Lord, amen.

I’ve been thinking you and your father. How hard it is! When my papa was dying, I kept thinking this is the last time I’ll do this or that with him. When he slipped into unconsciousness, I said the Divine Mercy Chaplet every hour I was awake. He died during that Holy Hour of Mercy.

Another thing that kept passing through my mind was this was like a baby being born, you’re never exactly sure when it’s going to happen, it’s a waiting and waiting time.

My dear patron Fathers, as you helped my papa and family, please help this family at this especially difficult time.

Praying for your Father to have peace & comfort as he awaits God’s embrace. Praying for you & your family.

Remember, also, most merciful and loving Father, all who are sick and dying, and grant that in the solitude of suffering each may truly “come to himself,” and like the Prodigal of the Gospel may at last discover Thy love and return to a Father’s heart. That most bountiful Heart has given them joy of life and youth, hope and desire; and from it all good and pleasant things, all enduring comfort and true delight, descend in copious benediction. Feed them before they die with the Body and Blood of Thy beloved Son, that nothing may be wanting to Thy love nor to their eternal beatitude. Amen,

PRAYER FOR A SPECIAL INTENTION

Jesus, my Lord and my God, I worship you and adore you. Lord, you have said, “Your Father and Mother may abandon you, but I will never abandon you. “

I believe in you and so I surrender all fears, anxieties and worries into your hands. Lord, I believe in your eternal love. Cover me with your love and let me experience your grace. I pray for all of my intentions. If you will, Lord, and if it will be for my goodness, I humbly pray that you may grant me my request. Amen.

***Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death
Amen.

:crossrc:***

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal dianeusa’s father. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into dianeusa’s father’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Prayer to St. Anthony for Those With Cancer

Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for dianeusa’s father, who is suffering from cancer. If it is God’s will, may the gift of healing be granted to him. Comfort him during times of unbearable pain, and ask our Lord to grant him peace and patience in suffering. May God give him the fullness of life here on earth. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

✞

God, our loving Father, you sent your Son, Jesus Christ, into this world to counter
all the forces of evil: sin, suffering and death, and to overcome evil with the force of good;
hatred with the power of love, your great love for us in Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen

✞

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

✞

In the name of The Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit AMEN

*O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, who brought forth the Son of God still remaining a Virgin, assist us in this necessity. O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother.

O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, we humbly ask you from the depths of our heart to help us in this necessity. There are none who can withstand your power. O show us that you are our Mother.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Sweet Mother, we place this cause in your hands. Amen*

Thanks for continued prayers…my father went to God on June 5. I know he is no longer suffering as he did here on earth. God blessed my family and me with his love and life and for that I am so grateful.

St. Thérèse of Liseux Prayer From “Story of A Soul”

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

Amen. †

Lord, thank you that you are with me right now.
Your love surpasses all fear.
I give you the anxiety I feel.
I surrender all my worries to you.
Clear my mind;
Calm my heart;
Still my Spirit;
Relax my being, that, I may
always glorify you in everything
I write, speak and do.

Amen. †

Jesus, Help Me

In every need let me come to Thee with humble trust, saying,
Jesus, help me!

In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations,
Jesus, help me!

In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials,
Jesus, help me!

In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles and sorrows,
Jesus, help me!

When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good come from my efforts,
Jesus, help me!

When others fail me, and Thy grace alone can assist me,
Jesus, help me!

When I throw myself on Thy tender love as Father and Savior,
Jesus, help me!

When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me,
Jesus, help me!

When sickness and loneliness overcome me,
Jesus, help me!

Always, in weakness, falls and shortcomings of every kind,
Jesus, help me and never forsake me.

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.

Amen. †

Sweet Heart of Jesus, be my love.
Sweet Heart of my Jesus, grant that I may always love You more.
Heart of Jesus, burning with love for us, set our hearts on fire with love of You.
Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like Your Heart.

Thank You, dear Lord Jesus.

Amen. †
