Please keep Fr. Jorge in your prayers; he was my confessor/spiritual director until a few months ago (persecuted to another parish) and is now being persecuted out of the new parish. He’s such a good and holy priest, but he doesn’t preach to please. They don’t like what he says (Catholic teaching) and they don’t like his manner of teaching (not joking/laughing around at the pulpit). He’s very serious, but so incredibly kind when you’re talking to him. Anyway, he’s becoming so very discouraged and has seriously considered leaving the priesthood. He’s narrowed it to three options, 1) go back home to Colombia as a priest, 2) join a monastery in Colombia, or 3)leave the priesthood and stay in the States. I know he’s leaning more toward going home, as he’s also very homesick, but #3 is being considered just as much as the other 2. Please pray for the Lord to grant him strength, consolation, perseverance, and any other grace he needs to overcome this hurdle and not abandon his holy vocation. Thank you all so much in advance. What is done for a priest is done for our High Priest, Jesus Christ, and may He bless you all for your spiritual assistance.
 
Praying for Fr.Jorge.May the Holy Spirit fill the hearts of those who persecute him.He sounds like a great priest.

Dear Lord, please guide Fr. Jorge to the decision that You wish for him. Strengthen him in his resolve to teach solid Catholic teaching. In Jesus name we pray.

Lord, please bless your servant and help him to decide what is right in his life according to Your will. Please let him to continue to preach and teach Your words and to do what is right. Amen.
 
I know a few priests who have left the priesthood due to the intense loneliness of the life in times of crisis…I will pray that somehow he will find ongoing support and encouragement at this time, for The Lord never tries us beyond our means - ever…although it is certainly possible to think so. I will pray too that he finds strength, consolation and perseverance and all necessary Graces in this times of crisis and this his vocation will stay strong…
