How are we with the knowledge of hell never prevailing against the church supposed to reconcile with the fact that Father Luigi has exposed freemasons, and Bella Dodd, communists in the church? Father Luigi was no rogue loony, he was ordered by Pius XII to share his findings, similar to the Roman Pontiff ordering “Alta Vendita” to be published.

Well, if sinful people in the Church were exposed and the Church is continuing to function, then Hell hasn’t prevailed against it, now, has it?

Or are you saying that every person running the Church is a freemason, communist, or other evil sinner?

The Church is going to have some corrupt and sinful members from time to time, just as Judas was a corrupt and sinful member of the Twelve. The Church will withstand the corruption and sin of some of its members and continue to carry out God’s work.

I’d be more impressed by Bella Dodd if she had named any names at all. Claiming the Church had been infiltrated by 1000+ “communists” would be a really good attempt at discrediting the Church.

I believe Archbishop Fulton Sheen encouraged her not to name names?

I read that Bishop Sheen told her not to name anyone. She wanted to though.

Great thread.
I’ve talked about Bella Dodd many times and what she exposed being so insane in terms of what it has created.

The magisterium will remain victorious, and Christ’s sacrifice has indeed redeemed the world. However, this doesn’t mean evil cannot infiltrated and cause great harm – it has and it does.

As Pope St. Pius X said, Catholics were born for combat. We’re the Church militant for a reason. We must continue to do what Christ told us to, and this includes the battle within the Church. This evil doesn’t mean that the gaits of hell can now prevail against the Church.
