I just discovered Father Mike Schmitz’s podcasted homilies on iTunes today. These are some of the best homilies I have ever heard in my life. The Do It Yourself Religion Series is also a good apologetics resource. I just thought I’d recommend it for anyone who has an iTunes account and may be interested. God bless you all.
 
**Thank you; checking it out; always on the lookout for ITunes podcasts on a par with CAL and EWTN. We could make this into a Catholic podcasts thread; not everything will be to everyone’s taste, but there will be ideas galore.

Here are several to which I subscribe:
  1. Divine Office: Liturgy of the Hours
  2. one to which I’ve begun to subscribe though the only connection I have with children is teaching in public school - the podcaster is terrific: His theme: psychology+Catholicism. Has an enormous number of children and manages a dense schedule of service to others. Dr. Ray Guerendi (spelling may be wrong): The Doctor is In
  3. World Crisis Radio: Dr. Webster Tarpley who is definitely and clearly Catholic. This peeks through his truth-telling on our country’s affairs domestically and around the world. He is a brilliant historian - is not putting it too strongly; his IQ is about 200 I would say, but his information on events in this country and around the world probably should shock some people. What I am about to say probably will. He spares no effort though in mid sixties in traveling to extremely dangerous locations (Syria, Egypt, Libya at its worst before it got even worse). Known for among other books, 911 Synthetic Terrororism Made in the USA. Broadcasts weekly from the “belly of the beast,” Washington, DC.**
 
ABSOLUTELY check out anything and everything from Fr. Mike Schmitz!

He’s challenging, intelligent, hilarious, and 100% Catholic. Besides the hundreds of homilies he has posted on iTunes he also writes for the Diocese of Duluth’s newspaper and travels all over giving talks at Theology of the Body retreats, Steubenville conferences, parish missions, etc.

Please do yourself a favor and get acquainted with some of Fr. Mike’s great work for the Lord:

Last thing… If you know Fr. Mike you know that statement, he is all of those things that Greg said, but most importantly…he is a Good and Holy priest. God Blessed us with his presence in our parish, and it has been many years since he left us,but I still hold him in my daily prayer. Check out anything and everything that Fr. Mike does for the Glory of God!!
