Hello,
I am very new to this site, so I hope Im in the right forum. I am a 35 yr old man, and I have recently gone through a divorce. I have posted more on Family life under “seeking advice” if you would life a little backround.
Im asking for my fellow catholics to pray for me. I have not seen, nor have I spoken to my son in over 9 months. We were very close until my ex wife moved him to PA from TX, and has intentionally been preventing me from contacting him. I have filed for order modifications and enforcement of visitation with the courts. We will be going to court on May 26. Please pray that everything goes well, and that my 8 yr old son will not have forgotten how close we were and how much I love him. Thank you so much and may God bless all of you.

I don’t think your wife is allowed to do that. I am glad you are going to court. I am sorry this happened and will pray for you to see your son too. I hope you are a good father, you sound like it. You at least have an interest in your child which many fathers don’t.
God Bless.:gopray2:

Thank you Fortuna. I really appreciate all prayers. I have always thought of myself as a very good father. I have 2 sons, and I love my sons very much. I think of being a father as a privilege, and to have that much influence in someone’s life is an honor. Although I have made mistakes, and we all make mistakes, I think I’m a pretty good dad. My oldest son is 14, lives with me, is happy, is a straight A student, and we tell each other we love one another on a daily basis. We spend time together every afternoon after school and workout together, Im have been truely blessed with him. I wish I had a similar relationship with my little one. Thank you for your prayers.

Praying for you to be able to see or talk to your son again …

I am so sorry, i have faith that you and your son will be reunited soon! I will keep you both in my prayers.

I will pray for you and all fathers who are going through this, as my brother is in the same boat as you, with his two young children.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Heavenly Father,
in my present need,
help me to believe that you are a wave
of my anxiety and will do what is best for me.
Give me the strength to trust you
and put the present and future in your hands.
Grant this through Christ, our Lord.
Amen
