Just saw this on SpiritDaily-Father Robert J. Fox, the founder of the Fatima Family Apostolate, has died after suffering from bone and prostate cancer. He passed away on Thanksgiving Day at his home in Hanceville, Alabama, near Mother Angelica’s Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament.

Here’s the link: www.fatimafamily.org.

He will be taken back to his last parish, St. Mary of Mercy in Alexandria, South Dakota, for the Mass and burial in the parish cemetery.

When I visited EWTN and the Shrine in May 2005, I caught two glimpses of Father Fox. One was when I was in the Temple and he passed right in front of me. And later the same day, I saw him walking towards the Lower Church and he stopped to sign a copy of his magazine, ‘Immaculate Heart Messenger’ for a lady. I now regret that I never stopped to greet him and tell him I was a long-time subscriber.

He took a lot of young people to Fatima on pilgrimages through the years. He also founded a monastery of Carmelite nuns in Alexandria in 1997-they came from the Carmel in Buffalo, NY.

May Our Lady welcome her servant and her priest-son to heaven!

God rest his soul…I have seen him on EWTN and he was a lovely man

It’s unfortunate that he spent so much of his life telling vast lies about Fatima. I will pray for him.

I doubt anyone is going to risk their immortal soul telling lies about Fatima

This man was a good and a holy priest…God rest his soul
