Father Serpa,
I would be interested in your opinion/perception. Despite all the reports we hear about problems in the Church, I am noticing a definite pendulum swing to a more orthodox, “faithful to the Magisterium” Catholic Church. Perhaps it is just in my diocese - I don’t know. I often wonder if this is just my perception because even though I’m a cradle Catholic, I’ve only, within the past couple years, come into full communion with the Church, in no small part thanks to Catholic Answers. Perhaps faithful Catholics are just the people I tend to surround myself with, and nothing is really changing except in my own little world.
In talking with the people at CA that travel quite a bit, and with what you’ve noticed yourself, do you see a shift? I realize there are a lot of unorthodox parishes out there, but do you see the tide turning? If so, why, and what do you think triggered it?
I know this isn’t the typical question for this forum, but I would love to hear your thoughts, and I bet a lot of others would too.
Thank you.
