Wow. I have a nice lower back tattoo. Glad to know there are people out there who think I am a tramp because of it:eek:. I chose that location precisely because it would be hidden. I can choose if I’d like to reveal it or not. And yes, as a teen I did wear shirts that allowed it to show. But it was the shirt that could have been considered trampy, not the tattoo.🤷
wow that is not funny. ANY tattoo in that reigon has a name I can’t say on this forum without being banned. It is always a sexual reference when publicly displayed. Young men see the tattoo and immediately assume that sex could follow if they talk to this women. This is a very serious nono for all dads to make sure there daughters avoid.

**Funny, I’ve never heard this or the “tramp stamp” before today.

My barber shop is right next door to a tatoo shop. According to the tatoo guys, that particular area for tatoos was made popular by exotic dancers also known as strippers. The guys always assume that any woman getting one there is either a stripper or a stripper wannabe. Please don’t think I am putting this label on you, but that is the perception most people have when they see it, at least where I live.

No, don’t worry, I don’t feel personally judged. Just surprised that I have never heard this. And it’s not like I’ve been hiding under some cultural rock either, lol. I only became Catholic a few years ago. And before I married my hubby I was the typical secular early twenties girl. I should have heard about this.

I think sometimes that these girls feel like they have to display things for other boys to see…so that they can attract the good-looking or cool boys at school. Don’t they know (why haven’t we told them) that the same outfit that allows a 14 or 15 year old boy to see their assets allows the creepy homeless guy they pass on the way to school, or the greasy punk kid that no one likes or the gang-banger that just came back from juvy from seeing the same things?

While most of the people that work at the school are wonderful people (I know and respect them all!) we need to remind our girls that whatever a teenager can see, older (even creepier) men can see, too. Is that REALLY what you were trying to do???
But it’s not just the “creepy” men who look at them- it’s any man with eyes…

Some of us men don’t want to see it, yet it draws the eyes no matter how hard one tries to avert them. I’m sure some brain for brains feminist will say something ignorant and sexist about what I’ve just said though.

Thongs and tramp stamps kill just like how crack kills.

I don’t think any decent man would want to look, but like you say, your eyes get drawn there whether you want them to or not. I think its just plain evil to “tease” men like that. No wonder men have so little respect for women these days. Modern society has made looking respectable evil and looking like a hooker good! I think fathers can stem this if they would just put their “foot” down and raise the expectations of how their daughters should dress. This affects all of society. It’s not a minor problem.

Perhaps there is something to what has been said, that we fathers need to watch over our daughters and what they wear. At the same time, I have to concede a point made that what I perceive to be skimpy on my daughter may actually not be. Personally, anything that shows skin is skimpy! But you know, some men get seriously turned on by women wearing long dresses!

Either way, a daughter cannot win when it comes to what her father expects her to wear, and a father can never win when it comes to his daughters. In our minds, they are still our little princesses and we will always see them as such. I may not like what she wears sometimes, but she is always a devout Catholic, an Honor student, a leader amongst her peers, and a very intelligent young woman. There I have taught her well.
