Yes, we all need to be aware of this and realize this IS a hell, and we can go there if we’re not very careful. We need to pray without ceasing for ourselves and others to avoid that fate, heed this warning like Mr. Scrooge.

I thought demons were spirit, according to this, they resemble black unknown animals?

Its also interesting because the demons are not in hell yet, nor when she had this vision, they were cast down to earth, among us, they will only be sent to hell at the very end.

I have read this before but not sure what to make of it, its definitely full of symbolism and possible metaphors, so…? And really it seems more like trying to scare people into choosing God, pray ad submit to God and his ways or else suffer in this terrible place for all eternity.

Spirits can be seen as if they have material bodies. And so the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus during his baptism “in bodily form, as a dove” (Lk 3:22), and angels on different occasions in the Old Testament appeared as men.

It seems like a lot of mystics have visited or seen Hell. Reading about these visions is a good way to scare the Hell out of myself at 2 in the morning. I was recently reading about Don Bosco’s vision of Hell with all the schoolboys he taught running down the road towards it. Utterly terrifying.

Makes me want to go to confession.
