Fatima Newspaper Stories?

On one Fatima site I was reading, it said that the miracles that people witnessed were in the newspapers, all over, including the new york times…

Does anyone have a scan of this report, or any reports from the time? I really want to see these news stories.

There is a small book written in 1952 called “The True Story of Fatima” which quotes several newspaper accounts (presumably these news stories originally appeared in Portuguese but have been translated into English, perhaps by the book’s author, who lived in Fatima for many years). You may read this book on EWTN’s website:

The book appears to have been electronically transcribed without much regard to punctuation or textual formatting, so the quotes are not set apart from the rest of the text - sometimes it’s hard to tell where the quote ends and the author’s commentary resumes. Also, the name of the newspaper is given, and the name of the reporter, where known (some articles apparently had no byline), but the exact date of the publication of the articles is not stipulated (but one may presume the articles appeared shortly after the event they describe).
 
I was wondering about this too. I went to the New York Times archive online, and searched all kinds of date ranges within days and years of October 13, 1917…nothing. And it’s not for lack of international news. It’s simply not there. I searched Fatima, Portugal, Sun, Miracle of the Sun, and many other search terms. I would like to see it. Heck, I would like to frame it, assuming it even exists.
