I’ve been on the lookout for a site offering a free Rosary and scapular, stumbling onto Fatima.org. I went ahead and excitedly entered my personal info hoping to receive said items. Needless to say, I later learned of the controversial nature of the site and its leadership. Am I going to be spammed and my info sold off?

I haven’t read the site but if this is a site which supports and defends Father Gruner then avoid it like the plague. He is a suspended priest, disobedient to Rome.

That site is in support of a priest, Fr. Gruner, who has been suspended of his priestly facilities. Hopefully, other than providing them a way to contact you they will not cause you any other issues. Most people advise changing passwords for your email when you have been spammed and this is certainly something I would do jus for the heck of it. When you begin receiving emailed material from them you usually can choose at the bottom to unsubscribe, and anything mailed to your home can be sent back if you want to write return to sender on it. Hopefully nothing you are worried about will happen.

Zelda,
I frequently visit that site (and recently purchased Christopher Ferrara’s latest book, "False Friends of Fatima").

To wit, I have not been spammed; on the contrary, they were very helpful and polite when I e-mailed them.
