I am overwhelmed by all that is written about Fatima. I’d like somebody to explain it in less than a hundred words or so.

“Our Lady of Fatima” is the Blessed Virgin Mary. Why should we have more devotion to her after May 13, 1917, than before that date? I’ve read the Vatican statement that there’s really nothing more substantive in “the message of Fatima” than there is already in scripture.

Explain.

Our Lady did not come to the children of Fatima to ask for more devotion to herself. True devotion to Mary always leads us to Jesus. She came to warn humanity of what we are headed for if we do not obey God’s laws and we continue down the path that we are heading.
I sometimes get overwhelmed when I think of all of the things that are going on in our world today that go against what we have learned in the Scriptures. Christianity is greatly under attacked these days. Now, even Satanists openly hold black masses and erect statues… How much longer can we go on like this without any repercussions? Mary is our Blessed Mother who loves us and cares for us and is trying to hold back the hand of God from giving us what we deserve.

Reparation, penance, praying the Rosary for Conversion.

Communism was taking hold of the world at the time. Mary’s message was to stop it and turn back to God.

My priest is the chaplain in my diocese for those who want Mass in the EF. When he mentioned the Fatima anniversary in his sermon today, he reminded us that in all the apparitions of Mary her essential message is the same as what she said at the wedding feast at Cana, “Do whatever He (Jesus) tells you.”

Everything necessary for salvation is contained in the deposit of the faith which is safeguarded by the Church’s Magisterium. Nothing in authentic private revelation can exceed what is in Public Revelation, which ended with the death of the last apostle. Succinctly, that is what you read on the website of the Holy See.

As for the words the Mother of Jesus spoke to the children in Cova in Portugal…this is more than 100 words but it is a one page summary.

Please note it is from an authentic source, faithful to Church authority.

Many websites that discuss Fatima are actually not in submission to the Holy Father and to the Holy See – rather, they perpetrate calumnies against the Popes, against the Holy See and they are faithless to Church authority. Those of that ilk are purveyors of conspiracy theories and nonsense and should be shunned by those of us faithful to Holy Father and the College of Bishops.

Thankyou for this link Don Ruggero.

The apparition desires prayers and intentions to her, a self-centered request. Be careful of the Fatima apparition, if fear the Church has been duped by satan.
