So, you don’t think Jesus is with the Catholic Church?
Also, if Jesus with us all, why do you care about Satan pretending to be an angel and be alert about it?

Same with us all, when Jesus, Virgin Mary, the whole communion of Saints with the Catholic Church, who can be against us?
Didn’t say that, did I.

You can do no such thing!!!
In Christ’s name? Absolutely. Remember this little passage in Matthew 19 …’ “Master, what must I do to gain eternal life?” “If you wish to enter into eternal life, keep the Commandments …”

Christ is more with Mary (as in ‘the Lord is WITH YOU’, straight from Gabriel’s mouth), and she with Him, than ever with you or Paul, buddy.
Thanks Lily, resort to personal judgements…

Things can only make sense when you quote other’s full saying. don’t just cut a part of it. Here is what I said

water:
I could promise you salvation if you obey God’s commandments, does this mean I will be the one give you the salvation? No, it is God, but I know for sure God will grant you salvation for you following His teachings. After all, you trust your church to tell you that, don’t you?

If I follow the ten commandments and dont believe Christ existed your still willing to guarentee salvation?
Too many variables. If the person is a Jew, then that applies well enough. If the person claims to be Christian, then they must believe in Christ. God reads our hearts and knows where we stand.

Yes indeed, If Christ is with you is the operative word here.
If. I dont know, and only Christ does.
I do know one thing, overconfidence in having Christ with you can lead to a little path that is paved with good intentions…

I see that Satan is on your mind often, and in connection with one subject it appears.

Giving Satan this much thought can only open the door for him to grab control of all your thoughts in time. He will make you focus on things always seeing a negative skeptical view as his are- and he will enjoy every minute of being able to hear you think you have avoided him and everyone else is embracing him! Because he gets people unaware, makes them think they have a brighter wisdom than God’s disciples, suddenly he will even make you hear his voices one day. Dont let it come to that point.

Say it with me: Get behind me Satan! Stay out of my thoughts! Judgement is for God Almighty alone not you, not Me. Get out of my life and be gone now!

I will pray for you.
Good if you’ve noted that satan comes up frequently in posts that tells me your reading them… Thanks and peace.

But how does that promise jive when considering faith plus works? She is** promising **salvation.
Consider this… In the same way that Mary is the mother of God; Mary is the mother of Salvation - Jesus. So by promising Salvation Mary is promising Jesus who is Salvation. And that is the fruit of any Marian devotion.

The Church teaches that salvation is from God alone. Mary is not saying “** I** will save all who are devoted to my Immaculate Heart”. So we can reconcile her statement by recognizing that this is a promise from God, sent to us through Mary. Do you realize what embracing the Immaculate Heart means? It doesn’t mean ‘worshipping Mary’, it means striving to be like her. We must strive to love God and mankind as she does. I would say it also means we must believe what the Church and Scripture tell us about her–that she is full of grace (Immaculate). If one embraces the Immaculate Heart that means the are embracing Jesus, because everything about Mary points us to Jesus. Mary’s whole role in God’s plan of salvation is to bring forth the Savior (the Nativity) and then bring as many souls as she can to Our Savior (do whatever He tells you).

If we live our lives completely devoted to Jesus as Mary was, and we are completely obedient to God as Mary was, and we live a pure life as Mary did, do you not think we would be saved? Since loving Jesus is a key part of Mary’s Immaculate Heart, I find it impossible to believe that this apparition is from Satan. He wants to lead people away from Christ, Mary’s apparition at Fatima has absolutely NOT done that.

You see, I mentioned God’s commandments - not just “ten commandments” 🙂
If you have broken one, you have broken them all. No one can promise salvation by keeping the commandments because we have all broken them. If you promise Salvation by the grace and merits of the Lord Jesus Christ alone then I would agree.

but if by grace of the Lord alone, and you don’t love your parents, what would you gain?

How does this align with Scripture, I’ll check and get back to you shortly.

I wonder if the OP is actually here to discuss, or merely to aggravate. Seeing as how most of the posts have consisted of little less than a few words that do not contribute to any actual discussion, and half of them are simply questions, it would not appear that the OP does not want (or does not have) anything to contribute to an open discussion. Hopefully though I will be proven wrong, because I was intrigued by the original question.

Not even Scipture promises that.

Yes kinda make you wonder if his attack on the Church is the work of satan. :hmmm:
