Are you done now? ** I could tear you up one side and down the other but I’m a Christian.** You profess to be one. Therefore, since you are divisive it seems it is now time to reject you. You’ve been added to the ignore list sir. Have a good night.
Very very un-christian like, “Oh my Jesus forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy”
Newbie1234 is here to “save us” from the errors of the Catholic Church. The various threads about Fatima and Revelation Chapter 12 make for interesting but frustrating reads as Newbie1234 and Myfavoritemartian are here to convert and not to truly discourse
I think your on the ball with your opinion, everybody keep kool ! :irish2:

It is not un-Christlike to tell the truth. What is un-Christlike is to treat people with partiality. You never “condemn” any of the Catholics for the things they say.

You can quote “visions of Mary” til the cows come home. We’ll quote Scripture and meet you in purgatory. Deal?👍

But our judement is gonna be, “one is taken, one is left behind” - not “you go through the silver door, you go through the gold door, and you go through the platinum door” is it?

P.S. From the “Nostradamus Files”, probably while you were posting this, I was beginning my study of Romans, as I just finished Acts!!!

P.S.S. And I certainly hope you don’t think I’m associating you with anything Satanic when I compare you with Nostradamus!!! 🙂
I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

I’m in no position to condemn, are you ? only God can judge.

If those Catholics are singing from the same hymn sheet why should I, but if they don’t then they’ll be corrected with charity, and I expect them to do the same to me.

Gotta go out now, get you all tomorrow, that’s if the thread ain’t closed.

“Berean Alert”, like the Troll alerts. Newbie seems to be taking his cues from web sites like this one…

bereanbeacon.org/for_catholics.htm

Newbie [forgive me if I have confused your posts with another poster who studies Berean information If so they are very similar and I cannot find the post mentioning the study I read last night to quote from] mentioned that he only studies Berean information in another thread.

When I read that post I looked for a Berean web site. I am familiar with the work of this former Catholic priest and promoter, Richard Bennett. I have heard him speak and watched his Berean videos on Cable Access TV. All very anit-catholic IMHOP.

Read the web page info directed to Catholics, then you will understood where the point of view and theology comes from…

As I said in an earlier posting…it is a valient effort, I have enjoyed reading the posts…but my head begins to thob and spin…

The throbbing and spinning is the truth. It is a sword that cuts. If you accepted Jesus as your Lord and savior today and repented of your sins you would be born again. AND you would still BE CATHOLIC. The only difference would be the Holy Spirit would come to dwell inside you and show you truth.
You wouldn’t cease being a Catholic.

with all due respect, I believe this thread should be closed. It does not profit much but does more harm to both Catholic and non-Catholic

It is more fighting than discussing.
I’ve decided to stop responding to this thread and alike.

Jesus is my Lord and Savior and I have repented of my sins and do repent when I am consious of sins. Jesus is Lord of my life and my faith. I am lead by the Holy Spirit, In Truth, and in the Church that Jesus founded and promised would exist for all time, protected and safe guarded from the work of Satan, thank you very much.

I do not get my salvation from your interpretation of a Catholic Book, commonly referred to as the New Testament, nor of the Hebrew scriptures beloved by the earliest Christians, commonly referred to as the Old Testament.

I receive my salvation by my faith in Christ. I am instructed in that faith by the Church that Jesus founded and the Canon of that Church the Bible [Hebrew Texts and New Testament] that the Church preserved in order to FAITHFULLY hand on the TRUTH that is JESUS.

I am not ‘working’ for salvation. I work to perseervere in the faith and because “faith without works is dead” By my baptism into the lif of Christ I am called to be Christ to the world. I am His hands, feet, eyes, and ears. I must see Christ in everyone, the hungry, the jailed, the naked etc and I must be Christ to them. I must work because I amm called to live my faith, not think it!

That is the essence of the Catholic faith. Now I may not live it perfectly, but I must strive to be perfect and I must strive to persevere, or I risked running the race and loosing my salvation, just as St. Paul teaches. We read all of scripture not just cherry pick the parts that suit our theology of the day.

I am a member of the First Church of Christ, an original!

Your sense that your faith and understanding of Scriptures is superior to the teachings of the Church is growing tiresome.

I have let this thread run. Thinking that it would recover charity and get back on topic, but since it has not, this thread is now closed.

If I have any more threads like this I’ll be taking action on any “problem children”.
