Fatima - Third Secret

The third secret describes a bishop dressed in white (most likely a/the Pope) going up a mountain.
In Pope Benedict VXI last Angelus he stated; “The Lord is calling me to climb the mountain”
Is it me or did anyone else notice this?

For me, it brought to mind:

1 And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain apart.
2 And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his garments became white as light.
(Matthew (RSV) 17)

Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, could also be referring to contemplating the face of Jesus. Maybe even with Mary while praying the Rosary.

Hello Jordan,

You (from my mangy dog perspective) are right on track. I believe we are on the brink of a very noticeable turning of the pages in prophecies. Either Pope Francis or Pope Emeritus could be that pope in the Fátima Secrets.

Our job is to maintain a life of prayer and a life of the spirit-nurtured by the Sacraments of Confession and Communion-praying the Rosary on a daily basis along with the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

The battle has been raging for a long time and will, sometime soon, reach a crescendo that will put a lot of Catholics to the test worldwide but, especially in these United States.

There has been a lot of “end times” talk for a long time. Even in the early days of the church there was this talk. Weren’t they persecuted? Weren’t they put to death for their beliefs? I think this has to be more world wide than some realize. In a lot of countries basic Christianity is allowed, although there may be some friction, it’s usually among Christians. We bicker over little things, and get upset when others don’t see eye to eye with us.

But in other couontries, Christians are seriously persecuted. Look at Saudi Arabia. Christianity is illegal there. To be a Christian, or even have any christian items, is illegal and, if I remember correctly, is punishable by death. Yes, we must pray. We must pray for the status of our soul and for the souls of others. And study God’s word diligently and prayerfully. Let us not get caught up in stuff that isn’t biblically sound.

I am probably mistaken but I thought the Church had already spoken on what the third secret was about. Did I miss something?

Does God constantly show Himself to us through His servants?

The one climbing the mountain in the Thrid Secret of Fatima - is this representative of one person?

Can the one dressed in white in the secret be representative of a group of people?
