So supposedly St. Faustyna Kowalska wrote her diary and Christ asked her to do things like not talking to anybody or suddenly just to dance. That seems almost abysmal and pointless, why is that?

At the age of 20, while dancing at a party on night in Lodz, where she was currently living, Jesus appeared to her, stripped and covered with wounds. Everything surrounding her disappeared and she only saw Jesus, who asked her, “How long shall I put up with you and how long will you keep putting me off?” (Diary 9). She ran to the cathedral to pray.

That’s all I could find about her dancing, which is why I wanted to know where whoever said this got it from or if they’re just making slander on the spot. Latter seems likely.

Most people when they went to these dances was for them to circulate and find a future spouse. Jesus was calling her to religious life. Going to these type of dances was not for her as her vocation was to be the bride of Christ.
