yeah well I’ll be returning to the states in a few weeks so I can finish up and graduate

Bring back lots of manga!
I SEE A WEEABOO. Though I’m a weeaboo in denial, admittedly. I need to start actually reading all the fic you put up on my LJ, though since I haven’t watched Yu Yu Hakushou in years I probably wouldn’t get it.

… They are making either a series or an OVA of Gyakuten Saiban (Ace Attorney, lolz) sometime next year. If it’s in the same story arc as the first three games, and the “are they gay or are they just really close friends/rivals” thing between Naruhodou and Mitsurugi doesn’t play out as gay (Naruhodou doesn’t feel that way. Mitsurugi maybe, but no one can get a read on that), it will probably be my new favorite anime.

I put fic up on YOUR LiveJournal? How’d I do that?

😉

Nice to see a lot of activity again on this thread. Hhmm…I’m enjoying “Those Who Hunt Elves” since it’s on TV right now. Of course, “Detective Conan” seems to be moving. Again. I am wondering if they’ll continue showing it (it keeps going on and off). I don’t live in the U.S., so anyone wondering where to watch them–well, you’re a bit out of luck (don’t know if they’ve shown in the U.S…haven’t followed up on how anime is doing there).

Um, I friended you on my LJ, and then you friended me back, so your fic links show up on my friends page. rebelintosanity.
DOHH!!!

:doh2:

Ooo, I have the first video of Those Who Hunt Elves—back when I began to collect anime series a local store had a sale on videos for five bucks each. I just picked up whatever looked interesting.

did anyone watch the last episode of HellGirl season 2? I don’tknow if the detective’s sister sent the boy to hell.

Well she did but Enma broke the rules and offered herself as a sacrifice in his place

Anyone watch Ah! My Goddess?

LOVE IT. The way they portray God and angels just makes me chuckle 😛

Which one are you talking about–the OVA, movie, or TV series? I only saw the OVA (5 eps, and by now a classic), and I love the story very much.

Just saw a few eps of “School Rumble”, and it’s making me laugh so hard. 😃

the boondocks and afro samurai are my favorite!
Yeah but they’re technically not anime as they are both America created. The drawing style is close to the manga style. But Structurally it’s American

Oh I am sure it’s been mentioned as I didn’t read the thread –

Paranoia Agent

Absolutely BRILLIANT.

I have been on an Inuyasha kick too. It’s hard not to watch it when it’s on, it’s engrossing. I really liked Samurai Champoo (sp). I’ll have to rent it since I didn’t get to finish the series. 👍

What? No My Neighbor Totoro on the probably OK list? Come on, that one is so kid friendly it demands to be put there!
Anyway, I love anime. I am definitely what anime fans call an otaku. My fave titles are Inuyasha, .hack//sign, and Tenchi Universe
I was seriously going to ask about Totoro, or even Kiki’s Delivery Service. Totoro ROCKS! Then again I have three, soon to be four children.

“Next stop – little sister. Meow.”

OK WAIT – I went through the thread and I am the only anime dork who loved Paranoia Agent???

I don’t believe those are anime.
Technically…no they’re not “anime” in the typical sense that they aren’t made in Japan or created by a Japanese person. However the second season has been animated in Japan and is also distributed by Sony which is a Japanese Company. The rights still go to Aaron McGruder himself who is American
