Everybody has been making such great suggestions- I don’t know about the original OP, but I now have a nice book list to check out!

Buzzard123, I have not read the book “Heaven” by the author you are querying about, so I cannot make a comment on it. The best advice I can give you is to start a new thread with that as your question. Otherwise, you are kind of ‘hijacking’ this thread to start a whole other comment. The Life of Fr William Doyle, an Irish Jesuit military chaplain and “martyr” of charity. I read it every Lent. Absolutely astounding.

Padre Pio, man of hope although the book I am reading right now The Perfect Joy of St. Francis is very good as well
