Favorite Christian Fiction Writers

[ladylinguist]

Just curious to know which Christian fiction authors everybody else here is reading (And, like any good bibliophile, on the lookout for new stuff to read)? Any favorite books that you can never read too many times?

[Cat]

Madeleine L’Engle, God rest her soul.

Her fiction and non-fiction are beautifully written.

Dean Koontz. He started out as a popular writer of horror novels. Now he is a Catholic, and a bestseller on the New York Times novel list, as he writes books that are a quirky mixture of suspense and humor.

God bless, Annem

Michael O’Brien is one of my favorites!
~Start with “Father Elijah” and then the rest in his series. Anything he writes is GREAT!
~ “Lord of the World” by Robert Hugh Benson.
~" Father Brown" stories and “The Man Who was Thursday” by G.K.Chesterton
~“The Diary of a Country Priest” by Georges Bernanos
~“Lord of the Rings” by J.R.R.Tolkien
~“Brideshead Revisited” by Evelyn Waugh

For young people:
~“Shadow of the Bear” and others by Regina Doman
~“Outlaws of Ravenhurst” by Sister M. Imelda Wallace

[Baptista]

Michael D. O’Brien
Bud MacFarlane, Jr
Jon Hassler
Rumer Godden
Taylor Caldwell
Jan Karon
James Beau Signeur (His Christ Clone Trilogy is a very good end-times thriller, even though we as Catholics do not believe in the Rapture. It is SOOOOOO much better writing than the Left Behind series)
Frank Perretti

Ok…enough for now.
