My brother and I always watched for the Santa in the Norelco razor commercial. Once we saw it, we knew it was the Christmas Season! —KCT
I think you both mean: NoëlcoWell, of course, the
NORELCO
Commercial!!
The one with Santa sliding on the razor down the hill. It was only after that commercial did we KNOW it was Christmas time!!

Yes! And the kiss that plays out the long note at the end and finishes…“whew!”. So cute.Hershey kisses playing “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”.
Try working at Wal*Mart and listening to the Hershey’s kisses every 10 minutes…
AAAAAAIIIIIIGHHHH!!!
I’m going to throw a fruitcake through the TV over the bakery if I have to hear that too much more!
And here it is!There is an old Christmas commercial that I remember (from the 60’s or early 70’s), that I love and wish to see again. I think it was for one of the main channels. Anyway, it was a cartoon of all these little birds chirping in trees all happy. Then you hear footsteps crunching in the snow. A cartoon man walks into the forest with a saw in his hand. The birds are all chirping in a frightened manner now, for fear he will cut down the tree they are in. All of a sudden he puts the saw up to his chin, like a violin player, and begins to play a carol on the musical saw (it might have been God Rest Ye Merry Gentlmen). And then all the little birds chime in and chirp along.
It was just the cutest thing!
Oh my favorite Christmas commercial would have to be one from last year where there’s a father who is reviewing with his kids what they got for Christmas. The kids each got some type of cellular phone, and then dad says “And what did dad get?” Daughter: “Aftershave?” “No, Dad got hosed.” Makes me laugh everytime!
I never got the joke. I agree completely! They are so funny; I identify completely with them, as well, as it is a family tradition to get hopelessly lost; hence, we own a Garmin!Garmin has two commercials I love. Both are singers singing to the tune of Carol of the Bells.
One is a man who is lost and sees a moose, goes thru a bad neighborhood and can’t find hiway 10.
The other is a woman shopping who goes to the mall, a big and tall store, gets chinese food, and goes to the salon for a waxing.
I think they are hysterical.
One year later and Walmart is still playing the same Hersey Kisses commercial over and over again…Hey Walmart get a new one or turn it offTry working at Wal*Mart and listening to the Hershey’s kisses every 10 minutes…

sigh One year later and I’M still at WalMart listening to those blasted bells! The only thing that makes them bearable this year is that the WalMart radio network has been taken over by sadists who inexplicably turn up the volume whenever “Suzy Snowflake” is played. One year later and Walmart is still playing the same Hersey Kisses commercial over and over again…Hey Walmart get a new one or turn it offplease!!!
Peter! You’re home!My favorite is the old Folgers one where the eldest son comes home for the holidays and surprises everyone by making coffee and waking them up. I think it’s Folgers, anyway…a lot of good it did if I’m not sure!![]()
