I think the hiding of the post is automatic when using certain words. I’d think it would be more useful if it warned you about the word when you submit the post rather than auto-flagging it immediately upon posting.

Do you remember in Pgh back in the late 1970s/very early 1980s, it seems like there was a Three Stooges mania. I don’t know what it was like in other places, but it seemed like there were 'Stooges film festivals all over the place. (I never bothered with it, myself)

Seemed like there was a Marx Brothers’ or Abbot& Costello movie on TV every Sunday after church when I was a young teenager, and I’d watch every week. I much prefer the Marx Brothers.
 
I really like O Brother, Where Art Thou?. Not your usual brand of comedy I suppose, but I don’t usually like comedies anyway.
 
Repo Man! That is an amazing movie! I can’t tell if it was intended to be a comedy or if it was a really bad sci-fi script that they turned into one.

But great call!

The line about “ordinary…people”, which I cannot fully quote here on this forum, is my favorite line from a movie ever.

This is also a good one. I particularly liked seeing it when it first came out with my mom and her friend who were children in the 1930s and were pointing out stuff like “Oh look at that stove”…“Oh remember Little Orphan Annie” through the whole movie. I found that to be as much fun as watching the movie itself.

The leading local donut shop in Cleveland is selling Bumpus Hound donuts this year to go with the “Christmas Story House” attraction…sadly they are not turkey flavored.

I grew up in NY.

Every Sunday had an Abbott and Costello film in the morning in the 1970’s. Sometimes it was the Bowery Boys, I didn’t like them, maybe because I didn’t get the humor.
