I was looking through some Lenten music, and I have some more contemporary favorites:
Turn Our Hearts by Barbara Bridge. This words are beautiful, and the melody is touching.
Beyond the Days by Ricky Manalo. The words really speak of the Lenten season, and if I may borrow the phrase from the not-so-popular Lenten hymn “Ashes”, they speak of “creating ourselves a-new”. Manalo also composed another Lenten hymn, “In These Days of Lenten Journey”, which isn’t as much of a favorite of mine as his other composition.
