“King of the Royal Mounted” in the vintage comic section at Comics Kingdom.

I had never seen this comic strip. They have a number of comics to read in their “Vintage” section. I think some I’ve seen there are from the 1940s… when they first came out.

“Grin and Bear It” had a long run, one panel cartoon in the papers, the way it was raggedly drawn always caught my eye.

It looks like they had a few cartoonists but this one often to me, looked a bit like a child drew it.

“There ought to be a law” was one I enjoyed some.

Bil Keane from Family Circus also had a spiritual awakening during his run. The earlier stuff was a lot more “secular”.
Now if only he’d ever found a third or fourth gag . . .

I liked User Friendly, but it ended years ago,.

Pre-hiatus Doonesebury (Trudeau never got his mojo back), some Calvin and Hobbes, BC and the Wizard of Id

I hope that Larson’s approach of not having a schedule lets him avoid the, well, failure of pretty much every other cartoonist who left and tried to return.
After fifty years of being a subscriber, they don’t lower the price for loyalty, only for quitting!
That “lower price” tends to be for a brief period, at best . . .

I dropped my subscription when I realized that it really didn’t have anything that I hadn’t already read online . . .

Mallard Fillmore and that other one with birds by a political cartoonist were often amusing.

The final “brief” offer I got was for 18 months! If I ever own a subscription service, I will off a 3month introductory rate and give special breaks for loyalty at one year anniversaries and at ten years…something like that…where I lower the price for a few months…no call needed…things like that. T-Mobile is the only company that has done something similar. It was the result of a troubleshooting call and after fixing the issue, the gal I was working with noticed I had a been a ten year subscriber and knocked $50 off my bill! Just because! I can begin to tell you how much things like that help keep a customer…especially a cell phone company! 🤣🤣🤣
