I’m sure this has been discussed before but I don’t see any recent posts and I know resurrecting them is discouraged, so I’ll start anew.

So…I love EWTN Live, I am very happy Father Mitch appears to have recovered from is recent medical problems, I don’t always have time to actually watch it Live, but I’ll try to catch the Thursday morning re-run, or watch it on YouTube. I must admit not all the guests are as interesting as Father himself, but most of the shows are amazing. I also like the Crossing the Threshold of Hope series.

I also like anything by Father Trigillo, he also makes what can be dry catechesis to be very interesting.

I will also watch Sunday Night Prime depending on the guest, and also watch the World Over at times but, I admit, more for the guests than the host.

I also like the Super Saint series by the Lords; I know they’ve both passed on but I know the show still lives on in re-runs.

Unfortunately, many EWTN shows I used to love have gone downhill. Defending Life has become rather milquetoast after Father Pavone left as host, and I just didn’t warm up to the replacement Life on The Rock hosts after Father Stone left. I know he was caught up in a lot of personal sin, but he was great as a host. I also recall the show was much more playful and interesting in his time, such as the “Friar Cam” and the friar parody of the DaVinci Code.

For some reason, I’m not really a fan of the Catholic View for Women or Women of Grace, though both shows are targeted at my demographic. Indeed, I seem to find the male hosts more compelling than the female ones for the most part.

ETA: Though I must make an exception for Mother Angelica herself. 😉

I love “the World Over” with Raymond Oroyo.
I gives us a brief summary of what Catholics
should know is happening in the World, also
the interviews are incite-full and informative.

I like The Journey Home and Crossing the Threshold of Hope.

The Journey Home.
Defending Life.
Women of Grace.
The World Over.

The Journey Home and EWTN Live on the TV side
On the Radio side, Open line Mondays and Wednesdays (not that the other days are bad) and Called to Communion, which, next to Journey Home, is probably my favourite EWTN program.

The World Over is my favorite program. I also immensely enjoy Mother Angelica re-runs.

Absolutely love The Journey Home (also listen to podcasts)

The Journey Home
The World Over

I used to like sunday night live with fr. groeschel, but just wasn’t the same after he left

Threshold of Hope and the movies that they show on Saturday night.

I used to watch EWTN more in the past than I do now, and I think it’s because I enjoyed the programming back then.

Most of the programming these days just is “eh” for me. Perhaps it’s reflective of their budget? Don’t know.

That said, some of the special programming that they do for the Advent/Christmas/Lent and Easter season can be quite good.

Another vote for The Journey Home… helped lead me to the Church after 50 years of middling Protestantism.

I also like the morning rosary broadcast… I work out to it… and Speaking Of Saints, since I know the host.
