Have you considered this: “First of all, there is a direct and clear prohibition of this in Holy Scripture. In the third book of the bible, Leviticus, we read the following: Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon: I am the Lord (19:28).”?Why would I not?

I realize it’s from an Orthodox point of view, but Leviticus belongs to the whole of Christianity, as well as to Judaism. I can see no reason at all why an Eastern Catholic pov would differ in any significant manner from what’s expressed there.
But…it’s a free country, and it’s your back
