How about Gregorian Chant?Hi all,
Ever since I have been deepening my relationship with God, I have noticed I can’t stand listening to most secular music anymore. I would welcome some good, wholesome suggestions to add to my playlist. Thanks!

I know this is an old thread but I’ll second Evanescence. Tourniquet in particular is a favorite of mine. For classical I know there are so many eras and styles. To be more specific I like baroque. Complex and powerful. Purcell, Vivaldi…oh my gosh Vivaldi! His operatic arias are so full of emotion and meaning. But I suppose that is not what many are looking for. Lighter stuff to me would include the romantics such as Chopin. Yes he can get deep, but he can also be light and calming. For the ultimate power and catharsis you can’t beat mozart’s requiem. It flows like Elizabeth kubler ross’ stages of grief, which might sound really bad but again, there is real catharsis if you persevere, even to the somewhat less impressive end completed by his student.

Paolo nutini is not mainstream and is very talented and worth a listen.
