Favorite Portrayal of God the Father

Hi!

Last night, I was looking at different depictions of what Jesus looked like. I then switched over to God the Father. Depictions of him ranged from an old man to a large in the sky. Just to be clear, I wads looking at these pictures purely from an artistic point of view. I am not trying to find an accurate interpretation. What is your favorite portral of God the Father in thee art of the world?

My favorite is a picture somebody took of clouds that look like a pair of hands held together outstretched as if to receive something or someone. Anybody know the author and date of that picture? I’ve seen it several times but don’t have a copy.
I’m curious what you were looking at–I suppose I could search under images of God.
Also, I congratulate you on a bunch of good questions and all the thinking you’re doing. I encourage you to get a book of summaries of lives of the Saints, and also biographies of your patron and favorite Saints to see how they respond to questions they can’t answer.
 
I don’t know if Him being with the holy trinity counts?

Oh trust me, I know. I can’t stand it when someone sees artist renditions of God or Jesus and they’re like “Oh that’s not God/Jesus looks like!” or “Oh, we don’t know what God/Jesus looks like!”

Like, it’s just an artist’s redition! We’re not saying they actually look like that. :dts:
 
Nope. I don’t think our David king is on Youtube at all. He’s actually an employee L’Arche for the Atlanta area. Have you heard of L’Arche? It a non-profit that supports faith-based communities of intellectually changed people. It’s an international group, they do a lot of good work. His position here at the church is real part-time.

I’ll write more later…I’ve goofed around a lot today at the office, heehee

Haha, I am glad you agree! I knew if I didn’t say anything, someone would say something along those lines! :rolleyes:
