Hello everyone and Happy Easter!!

This Easter marks 1 year for me as being Catholic, and I can honestly say it the best year of my life, going to daily mass and adoration my heart has expanded greatly!! I have found a lasting happiness that no one can take away from me.

Aside from that I recently bought a Kindle for all my books because I have a stack of books in my room and I needed an easier way to store them, haha. I am trying to compile a list of prayers I can put on my Kindle so when I wake up every morning, go to mass, or I am just going to pray.

So if you can tell me you absolute favorite prayers I would love to hear them and add them to my collection!! Prayers from Saints and any prayers that are your favorite!! 🙂

Happy Easter! 😃

Suscipe,St Ignatius of Loyola

Take, Lord, and receive
all my liberty,
my memory,
my understanding
and my entire will.

All I have and call my own,
You have given to me; to you, Lord, I return it.
Everything is yours; do with it what you will.

Give me only your love and your grace.
That is enough for me.

Amen.

Litany of Humility, Rafael Cardinal Merry del Val

O Jesus! meek and humble of heart, Hear me.
From the desire of being esteemed,
Deliver me, Jesus.

From the desire of being loved…
From the desire of being extolled …
From the desire of being honored …
From the desire of being praised …
From the desire of being preferred to others…
From the desire of being consulted …
From the desire of being approved …
From the fear of being humiliated …
From the fear of being despised…
From the fear of suffering rebukes …
From the fear of being calumniated …
From the fear of being forgotten …
From the fear of being ridiculed …
From the fear of being wronged …
From the fear of being suspected …

That others may be loved more than I,
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.

That others may be esteemed more than I …
That, in the opinion of the world,
others may increase and I may decrease …
That others may be chosen and I set aside …
That others may be praised and I unnoticed …
That others may be preferred to me in everything…
That others may become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy as I should…

If your Kindle is a Fire, grab the Laudate app… Daily Mass readings, Stations of the Cross, Prayers (Latin & English), Catechism, you name it…

Hello there,

I really love the Rosary, especially the Sorrowful Mysteries (Passion) and of course the Mass.

Congratulations on joining the Church! I am so happy for you, and so very proud of you!

Personally, my favorite prayer of all time is the Anima Christi:
Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me
Blood of Christ, inebriate me
Water from Christ’s side, wash me
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
O good Jesus, hear me
Within Thy wounds hide me
Suffer me not to be separated from Thee
From the malicious enemy defend me
In the hour of my death call me
And bid me come unto Thee
That I may praise Thee with Thy saints
and with Thy angels
Forever and ever
Amen

God bless,

Hello, I’m quite fond of this one, so simply stated its brilliant.

-Bookmark of St. Teresa of Avila-

Let nothing disturb you;
nothing frighten you.
All things are passing.
God never changes.
Patience obtains all things.
Nothing is wanting to him who possesses God.
God alone suffices.

Thank you all for your favorite prayers!! Keep them coming, I want to be able to pray without ceasing hehe.

Memorare:

Remember Oh most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known, that anyone who came for thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, Oh Virgin of Virgins my mother. To thee I come, before thee, I stand (kneel) sinful and sorrowful. Oh Mother of the Word Incarnate, dispise not my petition, but in thy mercy hear and answer me, Amen

I love this one, too.

St Francis de Sales prayed it …

On his knees before a statue of the Blessed Virgin he implored the assistance of the Mother of Mercy with tears and sighs, and the most fervent devotion. The torment of despair came to a sudden end as he knelt in prayer before the statue of Our Lady of Good Deliverance (the Black Madonna) at the Church of St-Etienne-des-Grés in Paris, saying the Memorare. Francis credited the Blessed Virgin with saving him from falling into despair or heresy; he recited the Memorare day after day, and she did not leave him unaided.

Prayer of St. Ephrem the Syrian

O Lord and Master of my life
Take from me the spirit of sloth, despair, lust of power, and idle talk.
Give, rather, the spirit of chastity, humility, patience and love to Thy servant.
Yea O Lord and King, grant me to see my own transgressions, and not to judge my brother.
For blessed art Thou, unto the ages of ages.

(Prayed by both Eastern Catholics and Orthodox Christians throughout Lent)

And for help praying without ceasing, very simply, the Jesus Prayer:

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner.
